Athens Fashion Week 2009 4

Atracting thousands of visitors, the international press and celebrities, the Athens Fashion Week has earned its place in the fashion world. Greek and international designers unite for this extravaganza at Technopolis. Find out which collections are next to hit Paris' boutiques. In October 2009, 28 members of the Hellenic Fashion Designers' Association (HFD) and four guest stars from Cyprus and Georgia presented their collections for spring/summer 2009 alongside nine Greek high-street labels and a handful of local shoe manufacturers. Designers honoured included Yiannis Evangelidis, Yannis Tseklenis, Jean Desses, Yiorgos Stavropoulos, James Galanos and Dimis Kritsas. There was also a special guest appearance by Patricia Field, costume designer for Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada. Short and sweet was the message for summer from the Athens catwalks in 2009
