The SYNERGY Events is excited to unveil their biggest project yet: Emerging Trends 2008 for Boston Fashion Week. Scheduled on the final night of the week filled with the hottest and freshest names in fashion, the event will be held on September 19th at 8:00 PM at the Jorge Fernandez Culture Center on 85 W Newton Street in Boston, MA.
Headlining the event will be renowned designer and artist Jerry Tam, who will be showcasing women's fashions from his New York debut line "Form". Since his days as a Project Runway contestant, Tam has honed his creativity and design work, resulting in a sophisticated and ᅢᄐber trendy fan base. The couture influences and meticulous attention to architecture and detail make the designer stand out among a crowd of fashion hopefuls. Tam's work makes a name for itself by being "dedicated to creative design in women's wear through the establishment of modern luxury".
The runway will surely raise excitement and aesthetical stimulation with vintage pieces by Boston's own Bobby Garnett whose store been named one of GQ's top 100 stores for men to shop. Some may say the recognition by Gentlemen's Quarterly is long overdue, for Bobby From Boston is the inspirational breeding ground for designers like Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton and Thom Browne. Garnett outfitted such Hollywood movies as Catch Me if You Can, Pearl Harbor, Forrest Gump, American Gangster and the up and coming film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchette.
Also featured on the runway will be fresh talent Hannah Shaw, whose inspiration springs from her home state of Maine. Her gorgeous dresses, quite like pieces of art, will only be a sample of the fashions that will grace the catwalk. Up and coming design talents from Boston and New York will also be a part of the show's many highlights including Caitlin Allen (NY), Theodore Allegrini III (NY), Micah Clasper-Torch (NY), Maya Molina-Araujo (Boston), Estella Couture (MD) and
James Martinez (TX). And with hair done by Best of Boston Indra Salon - whose list of awards is only rivaled by its list of celebrity clientele - and makeup intricately applied by Rihanna favorite Lily Artist Management (as seen on the Style Network), audience members can certainly enjoy more than just the clothes.
However, the night does not just end on the runway. The Boston Fashion Week Celebration will be held directly after the show at 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM. Guests can enjoy the talents of artists such as Liana Veda and Francine Bouska, as well as the chance to mingle with Boston's hottest VIP's, upscale fashion buyers, local celebrities, designers, young professionals, and more.
Boston Fashion Week is a multi-day event that showcases the new and upcoming talents in the fashion industry. The Synergy Events has been dedicated to making Boston a fashion capital for quite some time. Reaz Hoque, CEO of the popular firm, recently stated that, "Boston is the right place to showcase emerging designers with passion and drive for new trends. This year's Boston Fashion Week Finale Event will surely accomplish just that. We are very excited to be able to work with such talent from all over the country, and look forward to taking the Boston fashion industry to the next level!"
With VIP tickets for the show starting at a reasonable $80, Boston fashion is surely something that all can appreciate. A portion of the show profit will benefit, The American Heart Association
