Los Angeles Fashion Week (next show Oct 9th - Oct 16th)

The grand finale of IMG's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios in Culver City is upon us. After 10 arduous seasons of t-shirts, jeans and cotton jersey dresses, the event organizer and the host are parting ways. And sadly, this may be the last runway I shoot for a long while. I'll spare you my emotional breakdown.

The last, however, might just be the greatest. The models and designers are going out in style -- well, not high-end fashion style. More like Shieki Jeans style -- casual, everyday displays of fashion you'll see on the red carpets and down Melrose Ave this spring.

Keep coming back, I'll be there all week bringing the best hints and tricks from backstage and the ever-so-glamorous front row.

Today we have Selena Gomez in Whitley Kros, sitting in the front row of the main tent for style duo Marissa Ribisi and Sophia Coloma, wife of Giovanni Ribisi and cousin to musician Beck, respectively. Sunday is just the beginning of a hectic week. Gomez, who's quickly filling the shoes of Miley Cyrus, hung out backstage and got to meet the designers, as well as actress Justine Bateman.
